Todd Downing began his career in the construction business in 1978, working as a painter in the family business. From there, he went on to become a skilled frame carpenter, and eventually learned how to be a foreman. Todd entered Brigham Young University in 1981, where he completed the Construction Management Program and was an integral part of the 1984 National Championship football team.

While attending school, Todd continued to work in the industry as a site supervisor on major construction projects. After school, Todd earned his general contracting license and established Downing Design and Build, where he focused on large commercial projects and land development. Some of his major projects included themed water parks, business structures, restaurants, and a multi-million dollar resort in Utah. Todd moved to Texas in 1999 and continued to develop Downing Design and Build in the Dallas market.

Todd’s interest turned to custom residential projects, and shortly afterwards he formed Downing Custom Homes as an outlet for his creative ambitions. Today, Todd focuses his time and energy into establishing Downing Custom Homes as a premier luxury home builder.

Matthew Nibarger

Matthew Nibarger has worked in the home building industry for the past five years in Dallas. As the Operations Manager of Downing Custom Homes, Matthew oversees all facets of the company’s operations. His professionalism and knowledge of the industry is a vital part of Downing Custom Homes’ success. Matthew is currently earning his Finance degree from Southern Methodist University

Matt Garner
Assistant Operations Manager

Matt Garner joined Downing Custom Homes in 2007 and has made an immediate impact to the company’s marketing and purchasing departments. He has three years experience working in the Dallas home building market. Matt graduated from Austin College in 2004 with a BA in History and Political Science.
